The American soprano, Sarah Johannsen, was described as "...perfect..." by the magazine Opernwelt for her debut as Senta in Hof, Germany. Since then, she has sung dramatic soprano roles in Europe and the United States.

The Press has described her voice as having the "metallic brilliance of a young Nilsson as well as the warmth of a Ligendza".

Miss Johannsen has sung roles like Isolde, all of the Brünnhildes, Elektra, Ariadne, Turandot and Abigialle. Her dramatic abilities, her intensity on the stage and the beauty of her voice have been praised by the press and acknowledged by the public.
